Softball Organizational Team Meeting

First Softball meeting of the year will take place on Wednesday – Oct. 18th at 3:00 in the Cafeteria.  All  9th-12th grade player’s who plan on trying out for Softball in the spring should attend.

SOFTBALL Clinic – November 5th!

Vermilion Softball will be welcoming current USA National Team Player Amanda Chidester, Argentinian National Team Player Maglia Frezzotti and former All-Big 10 OSU Buckeye Courtney Gentile on Sunday, November 5th.   The clinic is open to player’s age 11-18.  Three sessions will take place Catching – Hitting – Fielding.  Session #1 = Catching 9:00-10:45,  Session

“WildSailors” Win Lorain County All-Star Softball game.

Seniors from Vermilion (Sailors) and Keystone (Wildcats) combined to win the Lorain County All-Star game this evening 7-5.   The “WildSailors” scored four runs in the first inning and then broke a 5-5 tie in the top of the 7th with two game winning runs.  Our 5 Seniors combined with 6 Keystone Seniors and enjoyed

Senior Softball Players Ready for All-Star Games!

On Monday 5th, 5 Senior Softball player’s will be playing in the Lorain County Senior All-Star Games at Lagrange Community Park.   Kennedy Shreve, Calli Brown, Destiny Grim, Tori Sooy and Becca Oates will be teaming up with 6 Keystone Seniors to take on Seniors from Elyria, Avon, Amherst, North Ridgeville and Midview.  Gametime is

Softball Summer Skills Camp!

Join player’s from all over Ohio for the Vermilion Softball Summer Skills Clinic.  Vermilion will play host to four MAC College Coaches for the two day clinic.  (Kent St., Akron, Eastern Michigan and Ohio University) Ages: 10-18 9:30-12:30 – June 13th and 14th at the Shelly Steele Softball complex. Congratulations to the following softball players for earning special Awards this evening; Senior Calli Brown – Div. II HM All-Ohio, 1st Team All-NW District, 3-D Award Senior Kennedy Shreve – New School Record for “Runner’s Caught Stealing”  (34) – Old Record = 17,  Shelly Steele Team Award Senior Becca Oates – OHSFSCA Academic Award Soph.

Softball Awards Presented this Evening!

This evening (Monday) the Varsity/JV and Junior High teams will have their Awards night in the VHS Cafeteria.   The Awards program will begin at 6:00pm.  A reminder to Vars./JV underclass player’s, you are responsible for bringing drinks to the event.
