Six More Sailor Seniors Sign to Compete in College!

Six more senior student-athletes at Vermilion High School signed letters of intent to compete at the collegiate level on Friday.  This makes fifteen Sailors officially committed to take their academic and athletic talents to the next level.  Today’s signees included: Torie Piskur – Bowling – Thomas More College Caleb McCullough – Soccer – Ashland University

Seven outstanding senior Sailor student-athletes signed their letters of intent Thursday morning.  Signifying their commitment to the next level were: Kayleigh Penton – Soccer – University of Akron Zach Kelly – Soccer – Lake Erie College Cece Dillon – Golf – Ashland University C.J. Koller – Soccer – Defiance College Emily Wagner – Cross Country

Kaleigh Penton and Zach Kelley Voted Most Outstanding Performers!

Seniors Zach Kelley and Kaleigh Penton have earned and been voted as most outstanding performers for both boys and girls soccer in the Sandusky Bay Conference. Zach, along with fellow senior Fielding Featherston, junior Ryan Bodeker, and sophomores Logan Penton and Riley Baxter all earned 1st team Lake Division in the SBC.  Senior C.J. Koller

Boys Soccer Wins SBC Lake Division Championship!

The boys soccer team, led by head coach Kurt Innes and assistant Rick Bodeker has won the SBC Lake Division Championship!  To clinch the title they beat Sandusky 3-0 on 10/5/17.  This is Sailor Athletic’s 6th SBC title in 14 months.  The boys are now 13-1 and 9-0 in the SBC.  Congrats!
