The Sailors started off the match with a 16-25 loss after losing Sophia Flemister to injury mid-set. The Sailors were able to battle back in the second and keep a slight lead with a win 25-23. The third set saw the Sailors overcome a few point deficit in order to pull ahead at 20 points, but Firelands came back to tie 21-21. The Falcons pulled ahead and were able to take the set 25-21. The Sailors were led offensively by Ava Owens with 9 kills, Rachael Lapka with 7 and Sophia Flemister with 3. Julie Plott led the defense with 13 digs. The Sailors restart SBC play with Bellevue on Thursday.
