The Sailors have swept the Tornadoes twice now this season. The Sailors were back at full strength and their first three servers took the Sailors to a considerable lead of 16-3. Julie Plott had 3 aces in the opening points of the set and Kora MacLaren had a 7 point run. Four kills in the first set from Ava Owens and 3 more from Rachael Lapka solidified the Sailor win 25-12. Angelique Garcia pulled the Sailors ahead in the middle of the second set with 8 points serving including 3 aces. Owens finished out the set and the match with 5 points including 2 aces. She had a game high 6 kills and 2 solo blocks. Meagan Rini ended the match on a high note with a solo block. Marissa Garcia and Julie Plott led the defense while Haley Larizza and Maddie Taylor contributed on serve receive. The Sailors continue their SBC play in Sandusky tomorrow.
