The Sailors would open up the scoring in the third with a three and pull themselves within three. The Sailors would cut Willard’s lead to two, following a made free throw, but Willard would answer with a three of their own to push their lead back to 5. The Sailors buried two triples down the stretch of the third quarter, but still found themselves down 36-33, heading into the fourth.

Willard would come out strong in the fourth and push their lead to as many as 7, but the Sailors would not go away quietly. After two made free throws by Willard, the Sailors would answer on the offensive end, and they still trailed by 2 with under a minute to play.
