The Sailor boy’s junior varsity were neck and neck with the Bay Rockets Saturday night, but a strong fourth quarter gave the Rockets a 53-43 victory over the Sailors.
The Sailors got off to a hot start, taking a 16-7 lead after one. The Rockets fought their way back into the contest, and knotted things up at 20 apiece heading into the break. Another even performance by each team in the third led to a fourth quarter showdown. The Rockets then used a 19 point fourth quarter to seal the victory over the junior varsity squad.
Ryan Habermehl had a team high 11 points in the loss. Kameron Caskey finished the night with 8 and Davis McDaniel added 7.
The junior varsity team will be in action again for another non-conference matchup Tuesday night as they will be on the road to take on the Clippers of Clearview.
