I have ten years of experience as a defensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at the DIII level. Most recently (2013-2015) as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Marietta College. In 2012, while at Manchester University, I was a part of a staff that saw us have the best conference finish since 1968, and our first winning season since 1997. That season, Shannon Griffith, our head coach, was named the HCAC coach of the year. Our defense had produced ten 1st team all-conference selections and led the league in nine defensive categories over my four years leading the defense. During my career as a college football coach I was consistently the leader in recruiting visits, commits and matriculations on the staff, no matter where I was coaching or what area I recruited.
I was involved with college football as a player and coach for over fifteen years. I’ve worked at both the D1 and DIII levels. During my career I have had the opportunity to work with very diverse groups, from student-athletes, to coaches, to faculty and administrators. My aim is to provide students at Vermilion the opportunity to participate in interscholastic athletics that will foster physical, mental and emotional skills that I have gained through being involved in sports in high school and college. My goal is to develop a cohesive and competitive district wide athletic program that the entire community will be proud of.

Mission Statement: The student-athletes of Vermilion Local Schools are our number one priority. The Vermilion Athletic Department looks to help you, the Vermilion parents and community, to develop people that are Coachable, Respectful, a great Teammate, Mentally Tough, Resilient and Tries Their Best.  We want to put young people out into the world that have these attributes.
