VERMILION – The Stillman Cup resides in Vermilion after Saturday’s winning performance from the Sailors cross country team over rival Firelands on the home course at the Obenour Cross Country Invitational.

The cross country Stillman Cup is determined by total points combined between the Boys and Girls teams in respective races. The Sailors won 124-179, earning an impressive 55 point victory after falling short a year ago.

Luke See, Alex Hershberger, and Isaac Lindo each finished ahead of the top Falcon in the boys race almost making it impossible for Firelands to overcome the deficit by the time the girls race even started. The Sailor girls left no doubt when Allsion Leopold and Clara Smith sealed the deal for the Stillman Cup when they both crossed the line ahead of the first Falcons finisher.
